With the rising cost of living, we anticipate the 2024 school year will be challenging for low-income families struggling financially, with little left for items like essential school supplies and a new backpack.

The Sunnyvale Community Services Ready-to-Learn program aims to offset some of these costs. This year, our goal is to ensure 2,500 students have what they need to be prepared for a successful school year. We need the assistance of our community to help us raise funds and acquire 2,500 new backpacks.

We need 1,100 kindergarten-5th grade high quality character backpacks along with 1,400 high quality backpacks for grades 6th-12th.
